To dispel any further comments re the air conditioning at the Concert, I asked at the beginning of the evening and again during the interval to have the air con turned on. I have been told, since the event, that the Playhouse has been having trouble getting the temperature setting right following an evening when it was very cold. The playhouse are now very aware of that problem.

Returning to the concert a big well done to everyone in the Band and to all the backroom people who put in so much hard work before, during and after the event,in particular Graham F and Anne B. Thanx Guys

The playhouse is pleased with us and is looking forward to seeing us next year I am sure we won't disappoint!

Hello!

Great site!

Apr 11 2006 07:40 pm
Good Call Quentin!   Music on Guestbook & Jermimer Watch only from memory.... fanfares will definately be out next time and watch out for our new project "A Mexican Mariachi Band"   Whats next!?

Apr 11 2006 06:14 pm
Well done to everyone involved with the concert ... excellent programme, well played and nicely paced.   Great venue too, though earlier comments about air-con are valid, it did get pretty warm.

Keep up the 'alternative' items ... how about an Irish Ceilidh Band, tap-dancing and a string quartet next year!?   Oh ... and what about a tan-tara from the fanfare team ... shame to have those lovely fanfare trumpets & not let the punters see/hear them! (ditto - tympani, but then I like percussion!)

Well done on this site Mike, also to the editorial team on the newsletter ... anything that helps those of us further away to keep up with the news and gossip is great.   Can you put a warning on which web pages have background music? ... it plays havoc with surfing at work!

Quentin

Apr 5 2006 02:29 pm
Comments re the concert on the front page, but well done again .... Venue was also very good, only real comment ...... can you afford to pay for air conditioning next year !!!! it was a little bit hot for us, so   can't imagne what it was like for you guys on stage.

Also most of you wouldn't have been able to see this, but when the Junior band came on stage at the end and you played The National Anthem, they announced "please stand for the Queen" all the little ones were looking around to wait the arrival of the Queen ..... innocents is a wonderful thing ...

Amanda & Bump

Apr 4 2006 10:05 am
I thought the venue was ideal... Not too far away and comfortable... Probably just the right size too and most importantly we managed to have a drink afterwards altogether before having to get back to HQ... Spot on !!!!

Any feedback from members of the audience ???

Robbydoo

Apr 3 2006 06:58 pm
Hi folks. Great concert I think we all agree! Well done to everyone, including the Juniors, although i'm lead to believe they looked petrified when they first went on stage! They played well and everyone thought they were great.
What do you reckon then - same place next year?

Karen

Apr 3 2006 01:13 pm
FANTASTIC !!! Not a lot a else I can say really... You all did yourselves proud last night.. The Music, Stomp, The Choir and Junior Band were all brilliant... It was a privelege to be part of it - One of the best i've been involved in.. Keep up the good work...

Robbydoo

Chris, Michael, Ivan, Ray & all in the band,

Was searching the web trying to find the site, of course, I should have known ......band comes first !!! It's been a couple of years since I have heard you play & I am looking forward to coming to see your concert in April. It will be great to catch up on the gossip & wind Michael up about his ever decreasing & receeding hair-line, it must be the stress of the impending wedding ! (only kidding matey)& don't tell Chris he is going grey, they are actually highlights.   Wishing you all the best, especially those of you who are old enough to remember me !

I think itis good that the guestbook is kept for really important things and not diluted by other things... which is why Gareth's Page and the front page and even the newsletter has seperate "shout Boxes" WELL DONE webmaster...

People.   Pictures have now be downloaded onto the travel page.   Alot of you will say that I have no tan that's because it's been raining here just as much as the UK but at least I can still walk around in a t-shirt and shorts!!!!

Hope the singing and the stomp are going well for the annual concert and No Mike i'm not going to do a video link.   I don't think I can play anymore as I haven't got my mouthpiece with me to practise.   I may have to rejoin the junior band when I come back to get me back into swing of things!!!

Well I hope the concert and Midsommer Norton is comming along well!   And get the band diary updated.

Take care people

Rudolph the red nosed wino,
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you got too close to him,
He would take off his clothes.
All of the other winos,
Used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Rudolph,
Join in any wino games.
Then one chilly Christmas Eve,
Rudolph froze to death in an alley.
End of story.
